Stayed here for 3 nights in December. Loved it - we visit Waterville often but this was our first time staying in Mary's cottage. A warm and friendly welcome from Mary and her husband set the tone for our stay. Cottage is warm and comfortable - we could have sat by the stove for hours. Plenty of space too. The location is perfect - less than 5 min walk to middle of Waterville and the cottage looks out over Lough Currane with lovely walks nearby . Highly recommended - we'll be back!
We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely cottage when visiting Waterville for a wedding. The cottage is within walking distance of the village centre and amenities and on a quiet road. On arrival at the cottage the stove in the living room was lit which was very welcome on a cold December day. Mary, the cottage owner, met us at the cottage and went through the heating etc. One thing we weren't aware of was that heating and electricity were in addition to the rental charge we had paid. This wasn't a problem for us but just something to be aware of, especially if renting during the winter when you need the heating on.
The cottage itself is very spacious with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. There is a beautiful dining room/kitchen area which is very well appointed. Everything in the cottage was very well looked after and clean. The cottage has lovely views across to the mountains.
We would certainly consider renting the cottage again should we visit Waterville in the future. It is a great base for exploring the surrounding area.
