We stayed here over a weekend to attend a wedding at the resort. I travel a lot and as a consequence I have become fussy to the point of grumpiness, but honestly I cannot find a single thing to fault at this hotel. Having the general manager meeting and greeting was a nice touch and a great start, but all of the staff are polite, friendly and attentive. The rooms are spotless, well appointed and with all the mod-cons. The pool is great, and there is a big gymnasium, sauna and steam room. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel as we were paret oif the wedding party, however both the breakfasts we had there were excellent. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Castlemartyr village we went to Pat Short's pub on Friday night had an excellent inexpensive dinner and were entertained by traditional Irish music, just brilliant.
The hotel is expensive but nevertheless I will return to stay, have dinner in the restaurant and play the golf course. If you're reading this Castlemartyr any chance of a discount if I bring some friends?More
