We stayed at the Maritime for a 2 night mid week break this January. As usual, the hotel was spotless and the room large and extremely comfortable. The bed was enormous!. Breakfast is excellent and large enough to ensure that a very late lunch is sufficient. We enjoyed the pool and gym and I had a great facial.
This was my 3rd time staying here and I will be back!

Room Tip: We had room 216, it has a huge bed and a beautiful view across the bay to the mountains beyond.

We stayed in the Maritime hotel recently and not for the first time. We have a young baby and asked for a travel cot and this was provided. Due to our daughters short attention span we chose to eat in the bar. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful.the following morning we had breakfast and the choice of food was very good.it didn't disappoint.
One thing to remember is the lay-out of the hotel is strange. the hotel is almost split in two so you need to know which lift to take.listen to the receptionist!!

Lovely food in the bar and the breakfast was great. Would stay again. The hotel from the outside looks a bit like an office block but the interior is 4 star +

Good food, nice rooms & very friendly staff; great facilities combined with in-hotel evening entertainment by an excellent ABBA tribute group, made a very pleasant post Christmas break for all the family, some home from abroad. This is one we will certainly all fondly remember.
Our group comprised 6 adults & we stayed 2 nights. We had an excellent dinner in the hotel and another in one of the many fish restaurants near the hotel.

Room Tip: Our rooms required us to take 2 lifts due to layout of hotel - after a few hours we came to terms with the unusual layout. Car parking is accessed on the opposite side of the road ( sea side) to the hotel - book in first before parking & get access to lifts from basement car park. We had rooms facing the bay - eg no 226

Stayed in room 127 which is not suitable for a couple - good walk away from reception at the end on long corridor, the room and bed was a lot smaller than the standard room. Unfortunately we didn’t realise the bed was so small till late at night I could touch both sides while lying in the middle and as I was 6 months pregnant at the time and couldn’t get comfortable I ended up sleeping on the floor! We complained the next morning and we were moved to a different room a few doors away but it had a bad smell of smoke in it and we ended up getting scented candles & had to keep windows open all day.
Apart from the rooms – we had a pleasant experience in the bar, restaurant and pool.

Room Tip: Only stay in room 127 if your a single traveller!
