Rang here on the off chance that 7 of us would get a table for 7.30pm and was delighted they could fit us in. Lovely lovely pub with excellent staff.. very friendly and good fun.
The restaurant foid was very tasty and none of us had a complaint.
One thing I can't understand is 2 Is My us ordered hake and 2 ordered steak. One Waiter brought out 2 takes and another brought out 2 steaks. But they gave us one hake and one steak and brought the other 2 to another table. I asked why they did this they said they were serving two tables at a time. No idea why. But it did mean that one if our lads had to wait a long time for his hake. We were half way through ours when he got his. We did not care not did he but it was strange practice..
Overall very good. Great value. Defo be back

Hiked the mile+ up the hill to CharlesFort. After touring stopped at the Bukman for some libation and food. Needed the sustenance for the hike back to Kinsale town. Well worth the effort and exercise. The pub is charming.it opens at 12:30 and fills up immediately. No wonder, the fish chowder was delish as was the crabmeat sandwich. Noticed others having fish and chips, well next time. Glad to have lunched here.

It's another crazy, curvy, tiny road drive but worth it. This place is a postcard - the food was delish and reasonably priced. Awesome atmosphere both inside and out.
Walk or drive up to the top of hill and explore the old fort for a $5. Donation it's amazing as well.
Fort- Incredible views of the port and surrounding area. Loots of cool history- they have done a great job with both the ruins and restoration.

Its many years since my wife and I visited the Bulman Bar. So long in fact that we had to drive around for 10 minutes to find it. So first piece of advice is get good directions. Second piece of advice, if you see a seat outside, grab it. It was a lovely sunny summer day and we sat for about a hour taking in the view and the ambiance. We both had a drink and a bowl of seafood chowder. So my review is limited. The chowder was good. The prices are a little on the high side, but that reflects the popularity of Kinsale and The Bulman itself. Bottom line, if its sunny and you are looking to while away a few hours The Bulman is the place to be.

We were a bit off schedule when we passed by The Bulman, so the restaurant was unavailable, but we did get to experience the stellar pub and the friendly staff. We actually took our beers out onto the stone pier in front of The Bulman and enjoyed the setting sun and breathtaking views across the harbour to Kinsale. The walk over from Kinsale along the sea side is a *must do* so far as I am concerned and a pint (or more) at The Bulman can be your well-earned reward. Go, this place is a gem.
