I'm not surprised that Ashfield is rated No.1 in the Kenmare region.
I have stayed at Ashfield FOUR times now over the last six years.
I spent four nights there last week and, as usual, could not have been looked after any better. Mary and Paul are gracious happy hosts and ensure that everything is perfect, even to the Kit-Kats and biscuits with the tea/coffee service.
If you are a golfer, perfect!. It is alongside Kenmare Golf Course.
I'll be back to Kenmare and I will always stay at Ashfield.

Room Tip: I have stayed in both front and rear rooms.I cannot choose a preference, all are good.

We stayed at Ashfield while on a cycling holiday in Ireland. It is a really great B&B with the details done right - comfortable bed, well designed building for a b&b (the guest rooms don't 'interfere' with each other), and we really liked the tea and scones on arrival. Breakfast is great (including very good porridge). Mary, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more in a B&B really!

Ashfield is a great b&b and Mary a very welcoming host - especially loved the scones and tea she served us on our arrival after a tiring day touring the Beara Peninsula. The room was lovely, the bed comfortable, and the shower powerful so what more could you ask for? A short walk into Kenmare itself which is a great little town. Wish we could have had more time there. Ate at No.35 in Kenmare - one of the best meals we had during our stay.

7 of us stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed our time with Mary, her dog Pipa, and her place. Kenmare is a charming city - nice place to stroll, look at the shops, and find a good restaurant.
Mary went out of her way to make our stay pleasant and was so helpful with information about the area.

Mary was a wonderful, very personable hostess who cooks an excellent breakfast. The property itself was in very good repair, our rooms were clean. We had a great night sleep.
