“Lovely, comfortable home base, perfect for exploring beautiful Kerry!”
Reviewed 25 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Castlegregory for the May Bank Holiday weekend. The house is absolutely perfect as a base for a trip to the beautiful Kerry countryside.

The house is spacious and bright, with lovely homely touches. I stayed in one of the front bedrooms - the bed was so comfortable! There are two large double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. The bedrooms were well stocked with blankets, duvets and towels. The kitchen has all the regular appliances and utensils we needed to make breakfast and dinner together as a group, and the dining table is surrounded by windows overlooking the country fields. The living room has two sofas, and armchair and an open fire, and Marion has provided lots of books and board games so you can enjoy a cosy evening in.

The house itself is situated down a country road just outside the picturesque village of Castlegregory. The walk into the village is very pleasant, and we strolled down to dinner in one of the local restaurants one evening. There are some absolutely beautiful beaches (such as the Maharees) situated close by, and we also completed the walk around the Glanteenassig lakes on the Saturday. You can easily visit the lovely town of Dingle by car, and take in the breathtaking Connor Pass along the way. We were truly blown away by the natural beauty of the area.

All in all we were delighted with our lovely, comfortable and bright home for the weekend, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like a pleasant, relaxing base from which to explore Castlegregory and the surrounding areas.

We would really recommend Marion & Joe's beautiful house, it ticked all the boxes for us. It's within walking distance of the village, it's cosy, clean, spacious and very comfortable. We have two small kids and between the toys, cots, high chairs, garden and space it was ideal. We had a fabulous stay in Castlegregory and look forward to returning!

“Comfortable, spacious house in great location”
Reviewed 2 June 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We stayed with friends (two couples). The house is well furnished and has two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a large living room with an open fireplace and a small back garden with a fantastic view of the mountains. It's a short walk into Castlegregory with many nice bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.

“Great House with lots of extras for kids and adults”
Reviewed 1 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We loved this house. It's very spacious and well laid out. The bedrooms are lovely with plenty of space, comfy bed and good storage. The house is down a small country road which is very quiet and has great views of the mountains. It takes about 10 mins to walk to the village where there are lots of lovely restaurants and cafes to try out. We visited Moes cafe and Pisces and both were very good.
We stayed with two young children and all the games, DVDs, books and arts and crafts left by Marion came in very handy. We had lots of fun playing board games on the raining days!
The house is an ideal base as you are a short drive or walk to the beach and you are also very close to Tralee and Dingle for day trips.

We stayed (4 adults and 1 toddler) in Coolroe. It is a beautifully decorated house (and looks exactly like it does in the photos) in a great location. Marion provided us with a travel cot, high chair, picnic equipment, and anything you might need for a holiday in Kerry.
The location was great for touring around Kerry and the local village has all the amenities you might need. We had a great time and I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone.
