I love the Moserhof and request to stay there each time I visit Reutte. It is in walking distance of Plansee Mfg plant and downtown. The rooms are lovely with very large balconies with awesome views of the mountains. There is a Sauna available. A restaurant that serves a wonderful, european buffet breakfast. The flowers in summer are gorgeous; In winter, the bells on the goats can be heard. At 6 am, the local catholic church offers a nice wake up call with church bells. Professional staff, very clean rooms with lovely turnout.

Room Tip: I like the back side with balcony. Views of the two castles in the mountains.

We had a mini-suite, so the room was very spacious with a good view (and a terrace), and it was spotlessly clean. In terms of furniture the rooms are OK. There is no refrigerator/minibar nor air conditioning; the safe is just big enough for a wallet, but a somewhat bigger camera or tablet would not fit in. WIFI is available in the room without fee. We were here two times (travelling to and from Italy). The second time there was an event in the restaurant with Tyrolean songs, yodeling and joking (which either you appreciate or not). That went on when we wanted to go to bed early (we arrived after a long day of traffic jams and had to leave again early next morning), but luckily they stopped at a more or less reasonable hour. If the management would close the door from the restaurant to the lobby during such events the situation would improve a lot. I went down twice to close it and also suggested that solution to the manager, but people always left the door open again, so our night rest had to be postponed an hour or so (not dramatic after all). The bathroom is small and rather basic for a 'junior suite'. The restaurant is OK (and cheap). Remark: don't go to sit in the restaurant uninvited at the first table, identified as 'Stammtisch': you will be politely requested to leave that privileged chair at the double, as obviously that is the Holy Table for locals (I wasn't aware of that habit).

If you don't like crowds of people (and traffic jams up to 20 km from the village - expect delays of 1-2 hours) do not stay in Reutte or surroundings (any hotel) during the last week-end of july (Ritterfestspiele).

Room Tip: Request a room as far from the lobby as possible to avoid corridor/restaurant/lobby noise.

Beautiful entrance. Good staff and good restaurant (not 24hs). Small eleavator. Great rooms especially those facing the mountains.Take your take and enjoy the SPA/Jacuzzi. I didn't and I regret myself until today. Enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: Get those facing the mountains. The view is unforgettable.

This hotel was incredibly charming and romantic. Very different from the rest of the hotels we stayed at during our trip to Europe. It looks like a giant log cabin with a twist of Austrian charm. If you're going to stay at this hotel, get a room with a balcony. The views are absolutely breathtaking. There is nothing quite like waking up to the Alps and breathing in the cold, fresh air. Parking was offered which was nice, and they even had a few lawn chairs out back which we laid on for a few minutes after checking out and before leaving, to admire the view. I would completely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to have the mountainside experience. We would have stayed another night if we could.

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony! You will not regret it!

We chose this hotel from the list in our Rick Steves guidebook, and were glad we did. For our family of four, we needed to reserve two rooms, as they don't have rooms for four people. We enjoyed side-by side rooms, with balconies, facing the castle ruins and the views were lovely. The hotel is nicely furnished in typical Bavarian style, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. Our favorite part of Hotel Moserhof was the restaurant, which served delicious Bavarian food for dinner, with kind and friendly waitstaff. In the mornings, we enjoyed the delicious breakfasts of yogurt, fruit, breads, jams and eggs. Staying at the Hotel Moserhof made our time in Bavaria even more fun and memorable!

Room Tip: Best views are the balcony rooms overlooking the mountains and the castle ruins.
