“fountains Abbey”
Reviewed 21 March 2012

Not enough labels around the abbey site, so not clear which each part of the ruins was which, and too much hard sell to become a member of the National Trust

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

Put on your walking shoes for this one. Plenty to see, lovely views, unspoiled attraction. Lunch at the Lakeside was disappointing so best to take a picnic.

“Awe Inspiring”
Reviewed 6 March 2012

a truly stunning site. So much to see & do - the old watermill was interesting & educational, the house beautiful (shame only a small part is open to the public) the walks by the lake & in the woods peaceful & invigorating. But of course, the abbey ruins themselves steal the show - spent hours just gazing in wonder & amazement!

“A step back in time.”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

An absolute must for the visitor to North Yorkshire. The grounds, water gardens and the ruins of the abbey are spectactular.A camera is a must.At the lakeside is a small tearoom selling good quality cake and scones. The park boasts herds of different species of deer and normally they can be easily seen.Highly recommend this venue.

“Lovely anytime, but especially when lit up for Christmas”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

The grounds and abbey are beautiful and there are many different sites to immerse yourself in. During the lead up to Christmas, they light up the abbey with numerous colored flood lights which is a real sight to see! Very worth it.
