“Lovely house, beautiful rooms, great location for a group to stay.”
Reviewed 15 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

The rooms are gorgeous, the beds are comfy, we covert the kitchen and it feels like you are staying in a friends house 'you've borrowed for the weekend'.

As a large group of friends including 1 baby, 1 toddler and a dog, we meet each year to enjoy a weekend away together and decided on Derbyshire as its just about in the middle for all of us to get to.

Derwent House was large enough to accommodate all of us easily, we loved the bathroom with the roll top bath and the en suites have been cleverly put in to each room.

Great house, lovely owners who were extremely helpful we recommend this lovely house whole heartedly.

“Outstanding House in a Perfect Location”
Reviewed 9 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

What a beautiful house, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a stay. Damien (the owner) is very friendly and is happy to assist throughout, from placing the booking and during the stay. We stayed for a long wkend and the location next to the lovely Hall Leys Park was brilliant. Would highly recommend a stay in this amazing house.

“Atmospheric historic house - great for a big group”
Reviewed 26 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

I booked Derwent House to share my 60th birthday with family and friends. Very impressed with the house and the service in booking. Loved the big kitchen, the range of bedrooms, the cosy front room. The position was great too - very near both the town and for walks. The park next door was good too. Highly recommended.

“Fantastc family venue”
Reviewed 11 February 2013 for a stay in January 2013

Extremely friendly host, nothing was too much trouble. Everything you would need was included in the property which was immaculate and cosy. We met up with close family for a 60th birthday celebration and will definately return. The house was in a great location for nice walks and friendly pubs even though we were quite happy to stay in with all the house facilities and the large dining table. Bedrooms and associated bathrooms were well equipped and immaculately decorated.

“Keep this a secret!”
Reviewed 7 December 2012 for a stay in November 2012

Please don't all go at once otherwise we won't be able to get a room! This house is brilliant for a family stay. We were 12 of mixed ages and the house works in so many ways. It the most extensively equipped house you could wish to stay in. Rooms are lovely and cosy, bathrooms excellent, the kitchen most cooks would take home with them. We felt very much at "home" and there were many thoughtful products left for us when we arrived, not just milk and butter but a lovely cake and chocolates for the children too. We will be back! First class, thank you.
