Called in at Bakewell for a light snack on the way to Lathkill Dale for a walk and this was the firt place we found after leaving the Island car park.

The premsis were very clean and staff attentive.

We opted for scrambled egg and smoked salmon with tea. Very nicely cooked and presented with the egg well cooked as I like it. And the salmon was excellent

morning coffee, friendly service, good deals. Would come back for lunch another time. Plenty of space. It's upstairs so had not noticed it before.

Have visited a couple of times and have not been disappointed. Friendly welcoming service and a nice, laid back atmosphere. Fantastic coffee which I had not encountered before. Fussy kids were very happy with the toasted sandwiches and jacket potatoes. I loved the pate and more recently had the ciabatta which was tasty and came with a really simple but tasty salad. I am on a bit of a crusade at the moment to only visit small, independent businesses, and it is places like this that make me feel I am on to a winner - will certainly return.

Popped in this afternoon for a well needed warm drink and were pleasantly surprised by the great selection on offer. We are both lovers of white chocolate so opted for the white hot chocolate and had a brownie to share. The drinks were really nice as was the brownie. Only criticisms would be that the brownie came warm (which was lovely) but could have done with some cream on the side. Also would have liked to see some more homemade cakes on offer. Friendly service and reasonable prices.
