The directions to the Lodge were very clear so we found it straight away, set at the top of a very steep hill was the lodge with stunning views. The local pub just 5mins walk away and had very friendly locals. Just 6 miles from Bath and very centrally located for Salisbury, Lacock, Dyrham Park, Cheddar, Bristol, Wells, Cirencester. We enjoyed several walks around the village of Box. The lodge was very clean and had many extra provisions such as tea, coffee and other basic essentials that we have found many other places lack. A welcome gift of gorgeous brownies, bread, eggs and milk was a great start as you can relax when you arrive and don't need to search for shops to get breakfast items. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxury break in the west country.

My fiancé and I stayed with my dad in March 2014, as a last minute getaway. We used to love in Bath so were familiar with the area.
Grove Lodge, where do we start?! Absolutely beautiful. The lodge has been built and furnished with such love and care, the finishes are stunning and nothing has been forgotten. The little extras on arrival were lovely, and my word, the best brownies in the world!
Perfect location for exploring Bath and the surrounding area, but if you don't feel like venturing out, the lodge is perfectly equipped for a hideaway weekend! The views are stunning, we were lucky enough to have beautifully clear skies to watch the stars with a nightcap!
We've now found our base for when we visit Bath, we haven't stopped recommending it to people since we got back, and we can't wait to return!
My boyfriend and I were really happy with our choice to stay at Grove Lodge. As soon as we pulled up we were welcomed with amazing views and a food pack which included freshly lain eggs, yummy brownies and homemade bread. The kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed and the ensuite bedrooms were perfect. It was a great place to entertain friends and family and a good base to explore the nearby towns and villages or to go for long walks. We would definitely recommend Grove Lodge to our friends and family and plan on coming back soon. Giles and Fiona, you're doing a great job!
My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend at Grove Lodge at the end of November. The lodge itself is utterly superb - the photographs do not do it justice! We turned up very late on a cold November evening to find the heating had been put on for us and a basket of bread, brownies, eggs and other delights waiting for us - what more could we have asked for after the long drive! The lodge is delightful, the facilities and location far exceeded our expectations. The hosts are incredibly helpful without being intrusive. We had one of the best weekend breaks we have ever had and will certainly be coming back again!!
Me and my boyfriend stayed in November and we couldn't fault anything. It was the perfect getaway weekend. So quiet around and peaceful, plus the lodge is beautiful and clean. We've stayed in the cottage and now the lodge and i have recommended them to everyone i know. - Can't wait to book up again.
