We stayed here a couple of years ago and failed to leave a review last time but loved this place so much we came back for a Valentines Night away. This time we stayed in Room 4 which has the biggest bathroom I have ever seen. A bottle of prosecco was waiting for us in our room and our table pre-booked. Again the staff were excellent, and made us feel really welcome. Parking is limited here but the staff will always move a car so you can park. The food is great too. All in all a lovely little escape and great for a relaxed night away.

We stayed here for just one night in room 4. It's a gorgeous room with a huge bathroom! Very comfortable room with every detail thought of. The pub is a great place to spend the afternoon and evening just relaxing with a roaring log fire. The food is excellent and they serve a great breakfast. Can highly recommend this as a place to stay and make sure you eat here too. Husband was very pleased with the wide range of local cask ales!

Fantastic short stay for a birthday at the beginning of January. Lovely, helpful staff, a great room (we stayed in Room One) and a very nice breakfast. Really friendly, cosy atmosphere in the bar too. Will definitely be back!

We'd booked the Castle Inn as a meeting point with family before staying in Bath the following day. From check in to out we can't fault our stay. As we hadn't seen our family for a while, we all sat in the bar catching up over a bottle of wine or two before moving seamlessly into dinner. It was extremely busy but the service and food was excellent, no complaints from any of our group. After a great nights sleep we enjoyed the lovely bath tub in our huge bathroom before heading down for an excellent cooked breakfast. Sad to leave but a return visit will be planned.

Room Tip: Room 4 has an awesome bathroom

Stopped in for a quick drink with friends. Lovely cosy pub with a real fire and great atmosphere. Bar staff were friendly and welcoming and drinks reasonably priced. Liked it so much we booked for lunch the next day. All 6 of us had roast dinners and they were absolutely delicious would definitely recommend!
