“Loved every minute of my stay”
Reviewed 18 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I stayed here at a difficult time and very short notice . But the owners Alice and Pete were more than welcoming and helpful in making my stay very nice . The property is on the slopes of the town and the views from the window are amazing . There is a warren of footpaths to explore and the town centre is about 10 mins walk , but maybe a little longer on the way back because of the slope . The cottage is small but perfectly formed and is cosy and comfy , it has everything you need for a lovely stay

“Cosy and full of character”
Reviewed 3 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The cottage was clean and had all the things we needed. We had our teenage grandaughter with us for half the holiday and it was a bit cramped with her there. Also only 4 of crockery items so had to either wash by hand or keep running dishwasher. The area is amazing - you need to be ok with hills, but that gives the views. Bed was very comfortable and shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Some nights there was noise from apartment above, I think it was cats jumping around. Overall a good stay.

Had everything we needed, in a lovely position. Small but perfectly formed. Excellent help and welcome information. Good walking and cycling routes easily accessible from the flat. We are hoping to come back very soon

“This was a surprise package, location, location, location.”
Reviewed 10 July 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The description of this little place does not do it justice. It was such a surprise to arrive and find the location high on a hill over looking the town. The views, the surrounding little weavers' cottages, the history, the gardens and the people were a complete bundle to make up your surprise package.

“Special location”
Reviewed 5 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This is in one of the most special locations which I have ever stayed in - the rows of houses without roads are quiet and elegant, with small, pretty gardens and great views. It is hard to escape from the cliche that it is like stepping back in time...
Inside, the decor and artwork are a delight; elegant, cosy and welcoming. It is well equipped, too.
There are some practical issues which people probably need to be aware of:
the walk from the car isn't great on a rainy day - mainly because it is a bit steep and slippy with a big case
the bed is a bit hard to get into on one side, too, as it is against the wall
some more reading lights wouldn't go amiss.
But I'd have no hesitation in recommending this place - and would love to stay again.
