“Fantastic stay in clean, comfortable, homely accomodation!”
Reviewed 6 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Fantastic accommodation for a close to home getaway for the weekend! Eleven of us fitted comfortably into the cottage - even if a couple did have to share beds; good job we're close friends! Perfect location to walk into town for food or shopping or along the canal. A vast selection of DVD's ensured we had a good girls night in, with a takeaway delivered and a viewing of Top Gun! Dave the owner was extremely friendly and helpful and was only a phone call away! The only down point we noted about the cottage was only having one shower, which between 11 ladies wanting to wash hair needed some negotiating! Maybe fitting a shower head over the bath would ease the congestion? Aside from that a fantastic weekend, would highly recommend the cottage and indeed, Bradford on Avon!

“Perfect Cottage, Perfect Location”
Reviewed 26 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

All my party agreed this cottage exceeded expectations. As has already been said in previous reviews the pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen/ dining room is open plan and larger than it looks on the photos. The kitchen itself is vey well equipped and the welcome basket that greeted us was a lovely touch. The French doors in the dining area lead out onto a patio where we were able to sit and enjoy the afternoon sun. There is a downstairs toilet - very convenient. All the bedrooms are a good size - no having to clamber over someone to get into bed - and very comfortable. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath, the other with a shower. If I could change anything it would be to have a shower attachment on the bath to speed up shower times in the morning. Having said that both bathrooms were spotless. In fact the whole cottage was spotless.
Unsurprisingly the lounge was also spacious and comfortably furnished. There wa enough seating for all of us to chill out. We were spoilt for choice by the huge number of DVDs as well as the option to watch Sky TV. The lounge also has a log fire which only adds to its coziness.
The wifi worked perfectly. Phone signal was a little patchy depending which provider you were with. It's just a question of finding a hotspot in the cottage or popping outside.
We managed to squeeze 3 cars in the space in front of the cottage but it was tight. 3 SUV's.?....forget it. One of our party parked her car in the housing estate just before you reach Baileys Barn car park, just off Frome Rd.
The cottage is perfectly placed to enjoy all that Bradford on Avon has to offer. The train station is no more than 10mins walk away and the town centre a few mins further on. Having the canal on the doorstep is such a bonus. There are two pubs within spitting distance; if you wish to eat at the Barge Inn I suggest booking in advance. It was fully booked when we turned up on the Friday evening.
David, the owner, was very accommodating and easy to deal with. All in all I whole heartedly recommend this cottage for a large group of friends/ family. You won't regret it.

“Great Cottage to suit all ages”
Reviewed 9 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We had an amazing time at Lock Quay Cottage and it was a great base for our three families to explore Bradford on Avon. There was so much to do from Canal boat trips, Canoeing, Cycling and Walking. The town was within walking distance with great places to eat and drink and a great park for the kids to let off steam. Bradford on Avon's train station was also close enabling us to take a short train journey into Bath.

We had everything we needed in the cottage from a fantastically equipped kitchen to DVD's Games and Books. Everything was clean and well looked after.

Booking the cottage was easy and David was really helpful and answered all my questions.

A great time had by all.

“Great Cottage, in a prime location”
Reviewed 7 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Fantastic cottage which suited the needs of our group of 10 (three families). The cottage worked really well, had enough off road parking was clean, cosy and fitted all the adults, teenagers and younger ones well. Suituated near the lock in beautiful Bradford on Avon it couldn't be better placed to allow you to hire a narrow boat, bikes or canoes. If you like walking there's the lovely towpaths and lots of good bars just a stone's throw away. The owner David was such a great communicator and did everything he could to ensure our stay was a success. Highly recommended!
