“I loved the serenity of the cottage, surrounded on each side by green fields and beautiful black eared sheep.”
Reviewed 26 January 2014 for a stay in September 2013

Staying in this cottage was the highlight of my two week trip to Europe. I loved starting the day eating breakfast in Araboy cottage, looking out over the beautiful sheep. It was the perfect antidote to a busy work life.

The cottage was very comfortable. It was warm and cosy. Unfortunately the weather was too warm to light the wood fire, which would have been lovely. Electric heating took the slight chill off the air.

The cottage is situated in farmland, but is within a short driving distance to the northern coast. The coastal villages are well worth a visit. The trip was too short to see everything but included some stunning historic sites. I am hoping to return to see more of this area. The train day trip to Londonderry along the Northern Irish coastline is on my to do list when I return. I would definitely base my return visit from the home away from home at Araboy cottage.

The cottage has all the home comforts but none of the clutter. It was great to be outside of a town or city.

My grandfather was born in this area. The farm land and cottage is still owned by distant relatives.

“Great Stay”

We stayed in Araboy Cottage for two nights during August 2013. The cottage is ideally located for exploring Bushmills (the town is just a few kilometers away), the Giants Causeway, Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge, Dunluce castle, and the nearby beaches. The cottage is also a good value for the size, as it offers a large family room with working fireplace (the owner supplies firewood and starters), kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1 double bed and 2 twins beds), and bathroom. The cottage is cozy and clean with everything you need for your stay (including a washer/dryer for those who are interested in a longer stay).

The owner is also quite friendly. She was there to greet us when we arrived and offered helpful tips about exploring the area. She had also left us some scones, butter, and milk to welcome us to the cottage.
