What a beautiful spot to spend time in and at the ocean. The sand is clean and the waves are just perfect. Great place for a family picnic. Our grandchildren loved it and could not get enough of it!

Kapalua is one of the most popular beaches on the West coast of Maui - maybe almost equally popular as the Kaanapali beach. There is great snorkeling option available here with lot of marine life. And being situated near the Ritz, it has great amenities nearby and the beach is quite well maintained.

Very nice beach, not too crowded with decent waves to have fun on! Close to restaurants and restrooms so no reason to stress out! Also a beach concierge to take care of your every need!

The beach is great, but the equipment rental is (almost) criminal. It's $10 for a set of snorkeling gear, but the beach umbrella makes no sense, at $15. The man at the desk did not mention that it did not have chairs, so we had to pay $10 extra for one chair! RENT YOU EQUIPMENT BEFOREHAND! Oh and also watch the wind, if the surf is too high the snorkeling won't be enjoyable.

Do you like snorkeling? If you do this is the beach for you. Do you like swimming? If your answer is yes than this is not the beach for you, there are a lot of rocks and only small portion of the beach have area where you can actually swim. You can rent kayaks and boards if you are into that, they are not expensive to rent them. They also rent snorkeling gear as well. The views are gorgeous and the beach is very picturesque. Plenty of parking around.
