“Lovely, well appointed cottage”

Layout of the cottage is great. Get the best of the light in the upstairs rooms, where the v modern kitchen (equipped as at home) and 2 lounges are located. 2 tvs, 2 bath/shower rooms, and furnishings all very nice. There's a Haven park at the other end of the village, and we've had a look at what they charge there (it's a lot more than this cottage cost us) and there's simply no comparison. Would come back here again if staying in this part of the world.

I enjoyed my stay in this pretty little cottage. The owner had thought of everything that you might need. I love the area and the scenery it's great. The cottage was near Grange over Sands where there are plenty of local shops.

“Lovely Cottage”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lavender Cottage and loved the quirkiness of the layout. It was very well and thoughtfully equipped having everything you could need and more.Even though we don't have little ones any more they were catered for too which would be a godsend for parents. We found it chilly at night, understandably for March, and it took a while to warm up so it would have been great if the heating had been set to to be on for when we came in after a cold day out. It makes a great base for exploring the Lakes and there are some amazing walks near by. The walk across the fields shortens the way to the pubs of which we can highly recommend the Rose and Crown for its great food and excellent friendly service.

“Worked well for us”

My husband, elderly Mother and I stayed in Lavender Cottage for a week in September and it worked very well for us. We booked it for the area, one we did not know, and for the 2 bathrooms. The cottage is well appointed, everything we needed and more, comfortable, warm and well maintained.
Wifi was very welcome and well used as mobile reception in the area was not good with my provider – only signal was outside the fish and chip shop which served excellent fare!!
We felt it was good value and, all in all, I can heartily recommend this cottage for your break in the South Lakes area.
