Boscawen Park is a great place for young children. There are plenty of things to play on and do, all with safe landing areas. The day we visited was after some very heavy rain. Unfortunately it was very muddy which meant some things were unusable.

Just take the turning off the roundabout at the bottom of Trgolls Road toward Radio Cornwall alongside the river and negotiate the sleeping policemendown to the park with a duckpond and Trennic Mill restaurant.
There's plenty of parking and if you walk across the car park toward the lock gates you'll find a super riverside walk around the park and the cricket club and back along the road to the duckpond. The path is fairly level and well mettled and at each end has the heavy steel open air exercise equipmen to have a stretch on. Incidentally from the start of the walk to the big fir tree by the changing rooms is exactly 1 Kilometer so you can measure your efforts. A cup of coffee from the shed by the Tennis Courts and its a great way to spend a little time and get some exercise.

Visited with 2 year old. Plenty of safe open spaces for children. Very well equipped play area for all ages and stages of development. Beautiful flower beds and grassed areas.

We loved our circular walk in this park - so many things to see - river, birds, industry, football games, cricket games, beautiful formal flower gardens (even at the end of September), a small coffee shop, ice cream van, a great selection of children's play equipment.
