Description: Voted in the 20 top Curry restaurants in the UK. You will find the Kathmandu in the shadow of the Cathedral in the heart of Truro. A cosy and relaxed establishment in Truro, the Kathmandu is hosted by charismatic and friendly hosts Raj and his family. Fresh herbs and ingredients are used to ensure the best curry experience, so that you can enjoy eating healthier and exotic Nepalese flavours. As a result the mouthwatering dishes are a lot lighter and more subtle than traditional Indian fayre.

We read the reviews and certainly it made us believe this would be somewhere special. We arrived early about 5:45pm with no booking. The place was busy but were were ‘fitted’ in. The place is quite small so advisable to book the service was very goodwith a fairly wide menu selection. Quite traditional. We both had a starter and main course. Unfortunately even reading all the hype we didn’t find the quality to be as high as expected but this shouldn’t put readers off as I’m sure others will find the place ideal

Nepalese nirvana.
Walked past and it smelt amazing. Went in and the friendly staff found us a table for 4. It was already very full but we were served quickly. Lovely food and Gurkha beer. All the usual meals available plus some Nepalese specials. Would definitely recommend.

Always try to visit when I’m visiting family, one of my favourite places to eat in truro. The food is consistently good.
Great portions, prices and quality!

My wife and I visited on our first night in Truro and were turned away they were so busy. We want back the next night and are so glad we did! My wife got the butter chicken and I got the chicken biryani and both were the best of each dish we have ever had.

The service was snappy and the staff friendly. And we ate and drank for less than £40, we were so full we could not eat it all. What more could you want!

Had a meal from here twice now and both times the service and the food was outstanding. Not sure what the resturant is like but the take away food is faultless
