What a little gem. The cottage is next to the church in the small village of Llangattock. Parking is very convenient in a designated parking space in a small car park across the road from the cottage. The cottage was scrupulously clean on arrival and had everything you need. It is beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished. A short walk across fields, with a tarmac path, takes you into Crickhowell. This is a slightly larger village with several pubs, restaurants and cafes. It also has a good selection of independent shops including a greengrocers, two butchers and a baker. It's an excellent base from which to explore the Brecon Beacons region. This was our first visit to the area but we will definitely be returning, and preferably to Little Shoe Cottage.
- The whole cottage is just beautiful
- Based in a lovely cottage, just outside of Crickhowell
- Well equipped, especially the kitchen, even includes spices!
- Comfortable beds, the sofa in the living room was really comfy too
- Lovely 2 seat area outside, great to sit in good weather
- Efficient communication between myself and the owners
All round fantastic stay - Thank you Sue and Val
What can I say about this property....wow! We walked in & instantly fell in love with it. Not only is Little Shoe a beautiful, well kept Cottage but it is also fully equipped with everything you could need.
The Cottage is perfectly placed for so many walks straight from your doorstep....with views of Table Mountain from your bedroom window! Very close to Crickhowell so plenty of options for eating out .... although why would you want to with this Cottage at your disposal!!
We have already booked to return in August & November .... we just couldn't resist. Thanks Val for letting us stay at your wonderful property.
Little Shoe cottage nestles against the churchyard wall of Llangattock church. It is part of a small gated group of cottages. The spacious living room is homely and comfortable and cosy and the kitchen has everything you'd need for a self-catering stay. The whole cottage is spotless. We slept really well in the bedroom overlooking the churchyard with its stunning views of the mountains behind Crickhowell. A minor problem with the shower was quickly put to rights by Sue, the lady who looks after the upkeep of the place. There were some nice touches like the bottle of wine left for us and the games, dvds and local information to help us make the most of our visit. Many Thanks to Val and Sue.
