“It's all you need for a great northern Brittany base”
Reviewed 31 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We booked a 4 night stay very late on the back of excellent previous feedback and a low daily cost during peak season. Jennie responded very promptly and held the Barn for us while we confirmed our ferry bookings. Jennie provided excellent information before our holiday.

Bellevue Barn is an absolute gem. As others have commented, it is small, but in no way did we feel claustrophobic or on top of each other during our visit.

Upstairs sleeps a family of 4 comfortably in an open plan arrangement, with a small bathroom (shower only) near the top of the stairs which suited us just fine.

Downstairs is a cosy kitchen/dining table/lounge open plan room with front doors that opens wide to reveal the small garden with 8-seater picnic bench with shade, BBQ, washing line and a magnificent view overlooking agricultural land on a downward slope.

The location is just off the roundabout between Ploubalay and Saint Jacut. Shops of various sizes are within easy reach. 500m away is a boulangerie in Tregon. 5 minutes to Ploubalay brings you to an 'interesting' Carrefour and a 'Huit a 8' in the town centre. 10 or so minutes SW gets you to the Hyper U on the edge of Plancoet.

There are plenty of super beaches within just 10-15 minutes drive. Given the choice, none seemed particularly crowded during our sunny stay.

Within a 40 minute or so driving radius there is plenty to be enjoyed. For this reason we are highly likely to return to the Barn next year as it was a such a great base.

An lovely well equipt gite. small but perfectly formed. Great spot to explore the best coastline in France, avoid the larger town and find some amazing secluded beaches and walks for a tranquil holiday.

Location of the barn is perfect, On a busy road at times but tucked away behind the owners house so you would never notice, I don't think I would ever get bored of open in the curtains of the French doors, lovely.

“Well equpped and spotlessly clean gite”
Reviewed 18 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We spent a very enjoyable week at the barn celebrating our silver wedding aniiversary. The barn is very well - equipped and spotlessly clean. We visited some glorious beaches within an easy drive away. The owners were very kind lending us an adaptor to use for our English appliances and providing lots of advice on where we should visit. There is a Carrefour supermarket and a boulangerie a five minute drive away which came in handy. The only downfall was there was no Wifi connection.

“Great Place”
Reviewed 7 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Very lovely place, exactly as promised. Situated in the backyard of a bigger house it's very private with a great view over the fields and hills. Lots of great beaches (which were almost empty in high season!) nearby. Ideal place for a family of four who loves a quiet, peaceful holiday in a wonderful area!
No WiFi / poor mobile coverage.

The barn is well set up, easy to find, with lovely rural views and in a great location to visit the important sites of northern Brittany.
