We had a wonderful holiday at Teach Aisling. It is set in a beautiful location where the beaches and other activities are easily accessed by car. The house has everything you need in it although the downstairs could do with a bit of modernising. There were 10 of us so it was a wee bit cosy. Bedrooms and bathroom were in excellent condition. Outside of the property is a real adventure playground. The owner was quick to respond to any queries.

What a lovely stay away tucked in by the side of the lake. Peaceful, quiet and timeless. Incredible birdsong. The house is warm, comfortable with plenty of hot water. As a family of six it was perfect. The needs are really comfortable. The kitchen abit basic but perfectly adequate. We had a wonderful holiday on long walks, beach combing and relaxing. Thankyou

We had an awesome stay at teach aisling. The house is beautiful and traditional. There is plenty of sleeping space as well as a very cosy living room and open fire. Everything you could need was there already. The house is beside a beautiful lough but even better two minutes drive from The beach. The waves are awesome and we got into the water both days it was so nice although freezing. There is a New Year's Day swim if visiting at New Years! Damien was super accomodating and we had an awesome new year!! Thanks you!

“Holiday let”

Old four bedroom one bathroom cottage in the most beautiful part of Ciunty Donegal. Beds comfortable but it's like staying in your grandmothers house. It is damp on the ground floor and you need to air it and get the heating on. That's the reason for our low rating.

Dear David,
many thanks for your review. We are indeed coming in to that time of year when the heating is on more regularly again. As you booked on the day of arrival it was relatively short notice for us and we did our best to accommodate your very late booking request. Normally with advanced notice we would always ensure that the heating is on before our visitors arrive and in most occasion an open fire will be roaring when guest arrive. Sorry that you found the downstairs a little damp but we couldn't find any damp when checking. There are some patches on certain areas of the wall from previous problems but these were rectified when we renovated the house. The house is almost 150 years old. Yes, Teach Aisling can probably be described as like staying at your Grandmothers (who didn't love staying at their Grandmothers?). During restoration of the house we were at all times aware of the importance of remaining authentic to the origins of the house as a working farm house and avoid stripping it of its wonderful character and charm. Your assertion that it is the most beautiful part of Donegal is indisputable. We will endeavor to ensure your recommendations are taken on board and would welcome you to stay at Teach Aisling again in the future.
Yours Sincerely
Sharon Coyle
