“The most beautiful house and relaxing stay I have ever had”

The children loved the pool and grew in confidence with their swimming. The outside area was perfect for sheltering from the hot sun and watching the pool antics. The house was comfortable beautifully furnished clean and well rsourced with kitchen equipment, towels etc. Joanna was more than helpful .

A truly pleasurable stay , we hope to get back as soon as we can

Julie

“Relaxing house in the country.”
Reviewed 4 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Beautiful setting in a tiny village in the province of Zaragoza. Bedrooms and outside space were especially great. Bedrooms were good size, as were bathrooms. Best bit for me was the outside space with a great pool, and fabulous reading and eating areas. We went as a family with 2 small children who loved the space. Nearby thermal lake in Alhama de Aragon is a must do to swim with the fish! Joanna is a lovely, friendly and very knowledgeable hostess. Thoroughly recommended.

“An introduction to Aragon”

First time I have ever stayed in Aragon and I could have had no better introduction than Alto Jalon. A lovely house in a genuine Spanish village. The facilities in the house are excellent as are the furnishings and decoration both inside and out; much of the decoration being original artwork of one of the owners.
Joanna J is extremely pleasant and helpful in every respect and will offer suggestions and advice as and when required. The house contains as much written information regarding the area that you could wish for. Bars/restaurants can be found in Alhama de Aragon, a spa town (mile away) and larger shops in Calatayud the nearest large town 20 mins away by car. (A car is required.)
I particularly enjoyed the walking available around the area and seeing the activities (mostly farming) going on around.

“Delightful experience”
Reviewed 25 November 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This casa rural is located in a small pueblo in Zaragoza province of Aragon. The house can accommodate up to six persons, two bathrooms, three toilets. A kitchen / lounge downstairs is equipped with DVD player and digital TV. Microwave, fridge and cooking utensils. By arrangement with the helpful and friendly owners, who live next door, a barbecue can be used. there is also access to a swimming pool.

The owners are English speaking and have a fount of knowledge of the area and can suggest places to visit, including the thermal lake in the neighbouring small town, Alhama de Aragon, the lake at Tranquera and the stunning Monasterio de Piedra. Other neraby attractive destinations are Medinaceli, Daroca and Soria. There are maps and suggested walking routes.

Shopping can be done in Alhama, 5 minutes away by car, and a small city, Calatayud, with a wider range - and many visitor attractions - is about 30 minutes by car.

For a taste of real Spain, in stunning countryside, this rental is highly commended.
