In a car holiday trip from Russia to all over the Europe we needed a place for 3 days between Venice and Lido di Esolo as close as possible to the ACTV ferry station to be able get to the city easily as well as we planed not to miss some time on the beach of Adriatic sea.
By chance I found this wonderful variant that perfectly covered both of these two objectives.
Everything was great, much better than we expected.
Warm welcome, although we arrived in the night later than scheduled and out of check-in hour. Very helpful and polite hostess Renata (e.g. she gave us some good transportation tips and ferry timetable, city map and info right during the check-in routine without any notice) and owner Roberto (e.g warned us by SMS about kind of GPS bug: when you travel from Triest side and set an end point as Punta Sabbioni (where B&B is) our IGO Primo with Navteq map calculated route through the center of Venice City and suggested to take a ferry that seems not to exist (and why you need ferry at all if there is an excellent ground way?!) ; so you need to set Lido di Esolo as intermediate point, or use good old paper map and some kind of brain.
The house is small and nice, quiet place far from the road with a coniferous smell from surrounding trees. Inside parking is free as well as bicycles on site. It is definitely a good idea to get them if you want to go to the seaside.
Walking to ferry station (waterbus to Venice and Burano/Murano) is about 10-15 minutes in a quick pace, but view is rather industrial because of the port. That is why ferry seemed us rather far from B&B at first time (plus it was hell hot that days) but later we got used.
Room and breakfast was just as it should be for the price and place – everything ok, especially if you don’t expect some 5-star variety from every point you stay. Although I can mention that air-condition in our room able to work only in the evening and night (from 19 to 7), but for us it was not a big inconvenience indeed (only if you want to have kind of siesta in a midday :)
The area near B&B in August was peacefull dead end (seems the nearby port have holiday too), full of caravaners from all the Europe and there is some kind of restaurant right on the corner – we were given a couple of discount coupons during check-in at B@B, but didn’t have time to check it out.
So summarizing the above, we had a great experience during our stay at B&B, and definitely will come back again someday.
