“Excellent Cottage, Fantastic Location and the Owners are really nice”
Reviewed 20 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

This was our 2nd year in a row going to Tailor's Cottage, The cottage was spotless, warm and homely, we have two kids under 4 and it was perfect for them as they had loads of room to play. The Location is perfect, not too far from a few villages and only 5 min drive to local unspoilt beaches.

Thank you Kathleen,
The McMahon Family,

In response to your review for your stay 2 years ago in June 2015, you had notified me by e mail at the time stating that you saw a rat outside, can I just say that this was honestly the first, and only incident that has ever occurred at the cottage. As I had expressed my apology at the time I can only apologise again. It was dealt with immediately and compensation refund was made for your inconvenience at the time. Thankfully reviews posted before and after your stay in June 2015 clearly show very positive and happy guests many who have returned since, and it is with great pleasure to advise any future guests that we have just received our "Certificate of Excellence" for The Tailor's Cottage which are based on guest reviews, future guests please have a read through them and we look forward to welcoming you in the future.

“Good base for visiting the area”

This is a warm and well equipped cottage. It was fine for the two of us but may be a little cramped for a families use. We were able to take our small dog who loved the experience. The area is very scenic and quiet - Port Salon beach is unmissable. We had a nice meal at Ripples Restaurant in Kerrykeel. Fanad is a good place for peace and quiet.

Cosy, very well equipped cottage. In a great location for exploring the Atlantic Drive. Clean and tidy with all mod cons yet still retaining a cottage charm. We were welcomed by the heat of the log burning stove, had a great stay. Would recommend and will rent again. Many Thanks, S.

In reply to your review, sorry you did not enjoy your stay, the rental is described as "a cosy cottage" therefore is not a large house, other visitors remarked looks bigger inside than out, as for damp smell, as I stated previously to you, that was traced back to a loose slate in extreamly wet summer and has since been rectified straight away when noticed, the one faulty chair on BBQ area has been replaced , part refund was returned for your inconvienience, and many happy guests have enjoyed staying in The Tailor's Cottage since your stay in June, aplolgies again we wish you well .
