“Fantastic house, Fantastic spot, Fantastic place!A+A+A+”
Reviewed 5 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

My second visit here, the first being in 2012.

Myself, wife and three children(16/14/11) originally booked two weeks and due to work commitments we had to ask the owner if I could change to one week and their response was first class, thanks.

The house is ideal and clean. It has all the amenities you would need. It is the perfect base and location, a real gem to stay in! If I ever get he chance, it would be exactly what I would buy.A+A+A+

The house is one of a cluster in a secure gated garden and close to a fantastic pier, which was a the main attraction for the kids to spend endless evenings jumping in.(I would recommend purchasing wet suits before you arrive, although you can hire in local shop).

Local Store's Bar was the adult main attraction where the staff were friendly and welcoming, Sarah's restaurant is in the same building which also has a takeaway.A short walk you will find the local Golf clubhouse which serves very nice food at reasonable prices.

A beautiful location with a stunning beach for that early morning stroll. A short drive from Letterkenny with many shops, restaurant's and activities for the kids.

I would recommend this house and will definitely return and a final special mention for Margaret(housekeeper) who looked after us and her treacle fruit bread was ace!!!

“Fantastic location for a get away from it experience”
Reviewed 19 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

House cannot be faulted for location, right beside beach and excellent restaurant/bar. We did not meet anyone on arrival and found the house to be in a slightly unclean state. Nothing major (I am very fussy!) but the kitchen had crumbs on worktop and table, bathroom was ok apart form toothpaste covering taps. The floors however needed a really good clean, very dusty. The pleated lampshade upstairs was deserving of the bin, covered thick with dust. My trusty CIF wipes soon sorted out this problem. For the price it would have been nice to have some sort of a welcome pack such as a pint of milk and few scones or just something to welcome guests after a long drive. A roll of kitchen roll didn't really suffice! On the plus side the house was well equipped with working oven/hob, dishwasher andtumble dryer. The gas bolier was great for instant hot water and heating. The gas fire was out of order but that didn't matter to us. We found the bed to be quite unconfortable, not great if you have bad problems. On the whole after initial impressions we managed to get into the holiday spirit
and embraced the relaxed Donegal attitude of it'll be grand. Definitely a very relaxing place if you want to getaway from it all.

“Great place, great secenary”
Reviewed 21 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We went down to Portsalon for the International Donegal rally. The house was lovely and the surrounding areas were even better. The local restaurant, which was no more than 150 yards from the house was lovely and there was a great atmosphere at the bar. The area was peaceful and very quite all weekend which was great.
We were slightly let down by the gas fire not to be in operation which from reading through the guest book, seemed to be down for quite some time and the tidiness of the kitchen, I found a chip and other small bits of food beside the cooker on the floor. Not of a big issue, more so a personal issue with upmost cleanliness.
However, I will defiantly book again for next year, overall it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to others.
