4 of us had 6 different dishes (starters, main and dessert) and loved all that we had! Friendly service, not overly fussy, and sensible prices made it a very pleasant Thursday evening.
Particularly to be commended are the chicken liver paté steak pie (plenty of tasty meat and a terrific crust), lambs liver (perhaps a little thick cut but very well cooked) and the sticky toffee pudding ("sumptuous"). And the red wine, not to mention the beer, in this newly managed/re-built/re-opened pub and restaurant were good too.
When we're next in Oxton, Nottinghamshire (why does the caption say Scotland?), we will be back. Hopefully by then they will have put up some soft drapes to absorb some of the noisiness of the restaurant.
