“Our wonderful home from home!”
Reviewed 11 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Service: Exceeded our expectations of a holiday let and met all of our needs. We were made to feel welcome for the whole of the six week rental period. Approachable and accessible if needed. So many lovely touches, from the cream tea on arrival to the "emergency" box of toiletries.
Property: A beautiful two-bedroomed cottage. Warm and cosy with a lovely log burner for extra cold evenings. As we were here for an extended period, we found the kitchen well-stocked with all the equipment we needed. Very clean and spacious.
Location and amenities: A beautiful location. Very close to Quantock common where there were lovely views. A pub within walking distance! Taunton about 12 miles away by car. Local shop for essentials again within walking distance.
What we liked best: hard to choose! The homeliness of the cottage and how much effort was put into making it such a wonderful stay. Despite it being, I would still recommend this place, whatever the season.

Liked best: The quiet location and the fact that Bruce has thought of everything.
Liked least: Truly, I can't think of anything. I suppose I could complain about the rain but it was sunny the entire week!

“Idyllic and relaxing”
Reviewed 8 August 2011 for a stay in August 2011

We stayed at The Old Bakery for 6 days in August and cannot praise it enough. It was cosy and well equipped, with good quality fixtures, fittings, linens etc. We took our 10 year old daughter and our dog, who was also made to feel very welcome. Kirsty and Bruce were the perfect hosts and always ready to assist with valuable local advice. The surrounding Quantock Hills are beautiful and Exmoor is not far away either. The Bakery is a typical cottage, i.e. dark in parts, eg the living room, but both bedrooms are light and airy. There is another barn attached, called Flora's, which is different again with regards to its layout and feel. Both are lovely. Can highly recommend it and will definitely return if staying in this particular part of the country.
