First impression when you enter the lobby/reception(if you can call it that) was an old and tired building. However Nicola the receptionist was very pleasant and welcoming. Our room on the first floor was clean and comfortable. However as there is only a restaurant within the complex, we had no choice but to try the food. I must say that lunch and dinner was forgettable as the food was not very nice and every dish tasted sweet. We had pastas for lunch and lamb shank and beef cheeks gnocchi for dinner. Better take a 20 minute drive into Launceston for better food you can enjoy. The restaurant tables were very sticky and staffs are very young. Obviously, this reflects only upon the management to maintain a consistent standard in the hospitality industry.. I believe they can do better.

We only stayed one night and got there in the evening before our concert. It's a little far from Launceston but perfect if you don't want to be in the heart of the city. Quiet neighbourhood. Beautifully landscaped.

Rooms were spacious and housekeeping was top notch as rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Coming from a former luxury hotel Executive Housekeeper that is saying something so kudos to the team. Our breakfast was included and at the rates charged I think the entire experience was great value for money. I'd say a great place for families with all the activities and layout of the extensive property.

Aspect Tamar Valley Resort is an excellent choice as a base for a Launceston & Tamar Valley family stay. The accomodation is spacious, clean & cozy, the meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner are great, the setting is charming & quiet with beautiful walks nearby. The cute onsite shops are a bonus : bakery, gift shop & ice creamery - all worth a look / try. Management & all Staff were extremely friendly & helpful for this trip & during our previous stay, we will definetly be back.

Where to start... what a terrible run down "resort".
Our room needs total renovations. The couch is so run down, they just placed a board under the cushions instead of replacing it! The kitchen doors are hanging on by a thread and the oven could be classed as antique. I would be embarrassed be letting these rooms out to people.
We didn't eat at the restaurant after the experience in our room. We did have some ice cream and we were charged for 4 instead of 3. When questioning it, he immediately said oh how many were there - obviously well aware of it.
The whole place is just a money grab and embarrassment - we paid over $250 a night for our chalet!

Room tip: Book elsewhere

Stayed 2 nights had dinner table booked for 4 adults and a child. Arrived at door to get dirty look and are you after something in blunt rude manor. Then said about our booking to get well someone didn’t mention the “child” when making booking as only have 4 people on booking so the rude blonde young girl said well if you want to eat here you’s will need to place the child on the corner off the table. We said we mentioned the child numerous times but was disregarded. Got to same bistro for the pre booked and paid for buffet breakfast next morning to be told also nowhere to sit had to stand around and wait to be shoved in a booth that was far to
Small. Buffet itself inedible biggest waste of money all burnt and have the things empty no milk juice etc. extremely rude service from clueless staff and long wait to get anything replenished. The first night at dinner took 40 minutes for drinks to come out. Second night ordered room
Service no cutlery things missing from
Order we were told it would be followed up and never heard a word from them. Second morning just had cereal
At the breakfast so a very expensive bowl
Off cornflakes at $30 per adult as everything else was either empty not working or burnt. Terrible 😞 very dated rooms and everything in village overpriced and staff very rude. Gone very downhill. All young inexperienced rude staff especially the blonde girl
Always has a face on her and everything is too much and a huge deal very belittling.

Room tip: Don’t book go elsewhere certainly don’t dine in here.
