The two of us and our two dogs had a fantastic time. The cabin itself was perfectly sized for two. The fenced yard allowed our dogs to run around. The hot tub was nice and hot. The gas fireplace kept us toasty at night. And when we discovered a leak under the sink, Guy had someone out to take care of it in an hour. Absolutely would stay again if we visit Big Bear again.
I've stayed at the other 3 cabins owned and operated By Guy and Elaine and each had their own awesome cozy personality. Appropriately named "Almost Paradise" is a cozy little charming cabin set far back off the street for a very private feel, perfect for that much needed hot tub session after a day on the slopes. It has the same quality, cleanliness and rustic artistic touches unique to the Maeda's other Big Bear Lake cabins. Nicely updated yet still retaining that woodsy authentic cabin feel that I need and love when staying in the mountains. I can't wait to go back to stay at any of their 4 properties and I'm glad I finally got to stay in this one. It's a pure mountain pleasure for 2!!
My husband and I stayed here and loved it. It was the perfect romantic getaway before he went on deployment. Everything was amazing and we will definitely be going back.
Great vacation. Almost paradise is a perfect name for this place, with all the emenities and more. The fully fenced yard made it even better since we had our two dogs with us. We are definitely coming back. Guy and Kenny were available and super helpful.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience from inquiry to our departure. We highy reccomend a trip here for yourself. Cozy and warm in the rain. Pleasant and timely dealings with Gut and Elaine. Felt as if we were in our own home. Our two small dogs were both welcome and enjoyed by a chance meeting with the owners. We will definitely make another trip to Paradise, the Alomost part of the name is selling it short. Go enjoy it for yourself
