First time here after new management. Wednesday lunch, not the busiest day. Menu has changed quite dramatically , but still had the Seniors menu. Chose the Garlic Prawns. Was supposed to come with mash potato! When asked.. not a problem with risotto rice? 👍 suggested they changed that…all taken on board. Best Garlic Prawns I have had in years!😁.
On another angle…I have noticed that people are very ready to post bad reviews and that’s fine…but not many people bother to write good reviews😉.

Four of us recently celebrated a birthday at Embers and were not sure what to expect. Having been long term customers for years we'd been aware of bad reviews since the change of ownership. Happily we all thoroughly enjoyed our different meals - vegetarian risotto, fish and chips, seafood chowder and garlic prawns -chosen from the seniors menu and good value for $20. The new chef seems to have turned things around and the customer service was friendly and attentive. Such a shame the restaurant had so few customers when it used to be packed. We'll certainly go back and hope other past customers will too.

Terrible. Had chicken parmi last night. The chips were sweaty, soggy, looked like the packaged frozen type you get from supermarkets. The chicken was processed rubbish, not a fresh chicken breast. Whole lot went in the bin.

I have been a customer for many years and always enjoyed the experience until Friday 26th July 2024.
The first alarm started when I pulled into the car park. It was almost empty. The second was when entering the restaurant and found it almost empty. I have never seen the room with so few people.
The service was reasonable. We all had different meals and delivered in good time but I am not sure if that would be the same if ever busy.
The sea food and pasta meals were below average and not value for money. The old experiences especially when the 2 sisters owned the place will never be experienced again.
Dinners beware!!!!

Gave it another shot with takeaway fish n chips, but won’t be going back. Served in aluminium tray so chips ( actually fries tbh)were sweating and soggy. Fish was not worth the $16. Miss the large serve of crisp fish and chunky chips wrapped in paper for $22. . I don’t work in hospo but I know you need to wrap f&c in paper. Seriously guys, I’ve read the reviews, you should think about taking on the feedback from people who’ve been regulars for ten years and more. You need to do something fast.
