Visited for afternoon cake. On entering the first thing we noticed was a very strange smell. We took a seat - it's not really clear whether it's table service or order at the counter. We loitered at the counter until a lady appeared.
We had 3 pieces of cake which were all nice, but not outstanding. The hot chocolate was great though.
They don't serve coke or Pepsi.

Visited March 2018, the welcome and customer service was very poor. The day we visited the tea room was empty apart from ourselves, although there were a number of dirty tables, the waitress/ receptionist was frankly useless and much more interested in talking to whoever was in the kitchen than us, coffee was OK but the cake was mega expensive.

Visited today for the mother's Day afternoon tea offer. The table we were seated at was covered in crumbs. We weren't told that you have to order food at the till until I started looking at the menu and saw that's what it said at the bottom. When we ordered the afternoon tea we weren't asked what cake or sandwiches we would like or if we wanted fruit or plain scones. We were asked if we had any allergies. The afternoon tea came with prosecco which was very nice but it would have been nice to have been offered a non alcoholic version? For an afternoon tea for 2 there were an odd number of sandwiches. The cakes we were given were nice but not ones I would have chosen given the option! The girl who served us at the till was really friendly.

Visited with my best friend for a treat.
Had the Afternoon Tea. Sandwich fillings were very basic but the cake and scones were very nice.
Nice little tearoom and has so much potential.
Overall very nice and would happily come back to try some more home baked cakes

Thank Rachael H
