The house is lovely, not enormous but enough for our needs. We travelled as a family with three children, two of which were teenagers. The house was well supplied with all utensils needed for a self catering stay. The bathroom was great, very clean and with an endless supply of hot water. The perfect village because it has a bakery and a shop and on a Thursday to Sunday a great pub which is owned by a lovely, helpful English couple, which was essential to us because without them we wouldn't of been aware of half the great trips we went on as it was very hard to know where to go. The house is an hour and a quarter from the beaches, the best of which are Carolles and others along that coast. We were central to go to Mayenne or Fourgeres. There is a great Aqua Centre in Fourgeres. On the way to Mayenne is a great camping ground by the river which has lovely boat rides for the kids, horse riding, a play park and a fantastic swimming pool. We also went to Fert Mace with was a lovely lake with swimming with a beach. So many lovely hidden treasures, including the American Memorial Cemetry in St James and in Mortain which has beautiful chapel with incredible views behind it. Mortain also has great walks. All around, a great place to stay and the owners were very helpful.
