“Great place to spend a night en route”

Very spartan but clean rooms. Fantastic atmosphere in the pub and restaurant, which also has a free museum displaying the chunks of SkyLab, the US space vehicle that crashed in Balladonia 30 years ago or so. Lots of fun.

Room Tip: Choice is minimal, but anyone with the spirit to drive to Balladonia in the first place is probably...

We also travelled from Streaky Bay all the way across the Nullabor to spend the night here. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised with the quality of our room at the Balladonia Roadhouse. We stayed in a 'superior/deluxe' room with a queen bed. The room was very clean, with bar fridge and kettle, as well as brand new air conditioning and flat-screen TV. The bathroom was large and clean. The staff were mainly Canadian backpackers, who were extremely friendly. The restaurant offered a variety of meals, and the vegetables were fresh and delicious - cheaper truck-shop food was also available. The restaurant's last order is at 7:30pm, and check-in closes at 10pm. If you must stop somewhere along the Nullabor, STAY HERE!

We had driven from Streaky Bay, SA (1100km) and needed a place to stop for the night. We were pleasantly surprised by this place. We checked into one of the newer 'deluxe' rooms and found it to be very comfortable for a nights stay. The bed was good and the room and bathroom were clean. In essence, simple but comfortable.
We had some good food in the restaurant and a couple of beers (The Manger friendly and keen to show off his cocktail making skills) before retiring for the night.
We were even treated to some rain in early December (rare in this part of the world) when we left the following morning at 6am....

Room Tip: Pay the extra $10 for a 'deluxe room',even though I do not know what you get in this room th...

After a long day travelling from Ceduna we arrived at Balladonia to find a Motel that offered all of the services one would need. The rooms where basic and had a comfortable bed, hot shower, basic air conditioning and television with good reception. The restaurant attached to the Motel offered good quality food at a slightly inflated prices. Finally the only negative was the cost of petrol from the roadhouse.

Stayed in a family room here for the night, double bed and bunk beds, though comfy. Its probably the best accommodation along the Nullarbor. We had a motel room which was good.
