Being a history buff and having been to a few museums, I think I would find it hard to find one better. Soooo deceiving when you first look at the front of the building. Let me tell you, there is so much to see. I was so blown away by the information held in this museum. The volunteers and all who work at making the museum the success that it is should be so proud. I think councils and governments should be helping more to enable places like these to keep our history safe.

Thanks JanP
This is the message we are always trying to get across, we are bigger than we look and allow plenty of time to see everything,, especially on Sundays with the demos.

Excellent place to visit there is so much history there, it take you back to your good old days. You need at least 2 hours it took us about 3 hours. We went on a Sunday and the volunteers show you how things were done way back when, and it just goes to show you can still learn things today about the early days.

Had a great day walking down memory lane exploring all the old relics of yesteryear. Particularly liked the displays being gathered on the old fire engines and memorabillia
