The house was in a beautiful hilltop village. It was very well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful and friendly and thankfully for us, spoke good English.
The area is beautiful and we found the beaches in Oneglia, West Imperia the best for snorkelling and relaxing, also parking want a problem. Elsewhere beaches are very busy, you have to pay for beds and its difficult to park.
The Marina area is beautiful and well worth a visit. The water park in Carvelle is a great day out, as is a day in Genoa.
The only other thing to be aware of about the village of Chiusanica is that it is rural, so very narrow winding roads everywhere and also farm machinery and church bells start up about 6.30am. No problem for early risers!
