My husband and I decided to spend a week to visit Naples and the surroundings. We ended up spending all days visiting the area around Pozzuoli, labeled ``Campi Flegrei’’. The hotel ``La Tripergola’’ is beautifully located at the limits of Pozzuoli. The room we stayed, number 106 has a wonderful view over the bay and the Castle of Baia. The hotel’s managers basically organized our visit, suggesting the itinerary day-by-day, including where to go running (for runners: do not miss the 6Km run around the Averno lake, which includes magnificent Roman ruins). Although some details might be updated (like the faucets in the bathroom, or a general uplift of the rooms), the hotel is impeccably clean, with cozy common spaces, and a nice breakfast with a large selection of croissants, and the possibility of squeezing sweet and juicy local oranges.

We stayed at La Tripergola for 3 nights in May. Gennaro was an excellent host and made our stay very comfortable and we were made very welcome. We were near the local beach club so made use of that a couple of days (€15 for 2 to share umbrella & sunbed each), it is also near to Arco Felice train station for trains into Pozzuoli for the ferry to Ischia and Procida. The rooms were good value and although basic were clean and the continental breakfast was good. We had dinner in the hotel one night which was also very good and good value. The terrace was our favourite place to spend time, with a glass of wine. The staff are this hotel's biggest asset and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Great little place and very friendly. We stayed 2 nights but I would have stayed longer.
Pros:
Excellent level of service
BBC world news on Sky TV
Very clean room
Power shower
Views from rooms
Good breakfast with convenient timings

Cons:
Room slightly outdated

Thought this was excellent value for money, given the location and date we stayed. Would recommend.

We had only one night here and despite the busy road on a Friday evening and a railway nearby with quiet little trains we had a great night's sleep. Sea view was wonderful. Rooms are pleasantly old fashioned and spacious with everything you need. Dinner in the terrace was also excellent.

We needed to get to Naples airport and it took only around half an hour and the fact that breakfast was from 7.30am meant we didn't have to leave hungry.

This hotel may not have a 5* rating but the welcome from Genaro, Maria and all the staff certainly is. Lovely rooftop terrace, comfortable and quiet rooms and lovely breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and we felt really looked after. The town itself is just a working Italian town but the train station is just a few minutes walk away where you can easily get to the main attractions such as ferry to Ischia, Pompeii and Naples.
