“Delicious little "cafe" on a vineyard”
Review of Panache Mobile

Panache Mobile
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: USD 5 - USD 17
Cuisines: French
Description: Auberge Saint-Antoine’s Panache Mobile pop-up restaurant is located at the Vignoble de Sainte-Petronille vineyard on Ile d’Orleans. Panache Mobile, a gourmet food truck, an exciting new take on fine dining, and a don’t miss experience all in one. Thanks to its covered and heated patio, combined with a country setting, wines crafted with love and dedication, and a breathtaking view of the famous Montmorency Falls, there’s no better place to linger over a good meal and good wine made onsite, prepared and served with care by the vineyard and Chez Muffy.

We had rented a car and driven to ile d'orleans for the day and saw the great reviews for this place so decided to make our way there - it definitely lived up to the reviews and we had a delicious meal
The vineyard was easy to find, but when we pulled up, it was a bit confusing as to where Panache was! I was expected an actual "food truck" but it was more of a cafe set up on the back patio of the little "house" that is the main vineyard tasting room. That was probably the only problem we had though! The food and the service were both great. I had the grilled cheese, and my husband had the lobster roll - and we opted for the "half half" option of half fries and half salad with each of our meals. When the plates arrived - they were huge! Very tasty and fresh food. Also since it's attached to a vineyard, you could walk thru the "house" to the main room and get a glass of wine or a bottle to bring outside to have with your meal (you have to pay for the wine separately inside, and bring it out yourself). Lovely! my only wish is that there was maybe a bigger menu, but i understand that this is technically not a full restaurant and more of a "mobile" offering, so i know that's tough. overall, we really enjoyed it.

Dear BacTravel,

Thank you to have taken the time to share your opinion regarding your first visit at Panache Mobile! We are pleased that you liked your experience and thank you for your observations. Indeed, this is not a typical foodtruck but we are glad you like the concept even if it was different than you thought it would be.

Hoping we will be seeing you again on your next trip to Quebec.

Our group of 8 motorcyclists stopped here for lunch. Had a table on the covered terrace overlooking the Montmorency falls and the vineyard. Beautiful setting, excellent service. Fast food menu but with a culinary twist - try the bison burger with home made fries and salad or the lobster roll. Actually, any menu item is prepared with fine cuisine in mind. This is a busy restaurant over lunch, so arrive early - no reservations are taken. And try wine tasting in the gift shop next door.

The Wine tasting was fun and the Vineyard does put out some nice dry wine selections. Our highlight was lunch at the mobile food truck. More like a trailer built into a seating area. We just happened to finish our wine tasting a couple of minutes before noon to grab the last table for two. The feel was of a restaurant that the locals love and the smart patrons enjoyed the wine they had just picked out from the winery's tasting room to make the most of their lunch. Burger and fries were perfect, almost too much food. Wait staff hustled the whole time.

The vineyard was within walking distance of the inn my wife and I were staying in while touring the area so we decided to try it out based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. It was a beautiful summer evening which really enhanced the setting and views. We started with a wine tasting while waiting 20 minutes for a table (and picked a bottle for dinner -- after all we were on foot). I had the lobster roll with avocado sauce and poutine with duck con fit, and the wife had the shrimp and fennel salad. Both were excellent, and the service was great.

We drove the perimeter of the Île d'Orléans with the Le Vignoble De Sainte Pe Winery and this restaurant as our destination and we are so glad we did. I was a bit hesitant when we were told the wines they made were dry as I'm not a fan of dry wines but after a sample, the bottle of Bouquet we purchased was delicious. We enjoyed it over lunch at this restaurant located at the winery. The views from the patio tables as well as the vineyard porch overlook the sprawling vineyards, the river, the bridge, and the Montmorency Falls in the distance. It all just made the wine taste sweeter. We ordered a burger - juicy and cooked just as ordered and an overflowing lobster roll in a toasted bun. Both came with a side of french fries. Dessert was a crusty, creamy and tasty creme brulee. The menu is limited but everything is fresh and the staff were friendly and attentive when needed. A very nice treat when on vacation. Love that it's a food truck. This restaurant is a sister to the restaurant located in the Auberge Saint-Antoine Hotel located in Lower Town, Old Quebec.
