Stayed for a week with wife and two young boys and had a great time. We've been coming to St Andrews for a number of years and know the area really well, and this cottage was in a perfect location from which to explore the many attractions. The beach at Cambo Sands is only a short distance own the road - great for walks, Kite-flying, crabbing in the rock pools or just chilling out and watching the Gannets diving for fish. The cottage was lovely and clean and comfortable with a modern yet cosy feel. All the mod cons and WIFI access - Minecraft videos on YouTube kept the boys quiet (for a little while!) after a busy days activity which was really appreciated by them (and us).
We chose this cottage after our usual and much loved holiday rental in the area became unavailable, but will definitely return here, hopefully same time next year unless we can manage it earlier.
Thanks very much Holly. Number 2 The Stackyard is our new favourite!
Everything you could ask for in a holiday rental plus so much more!! The standard of decor and furnishings was really high and the cottage was really well equipped. Kingsbarns is an excellent base for exploring in and around St Andrews. I would definitely stay here again.
This was our fourth visit to the cottage in as many years & our first stay under the ownership of Holly.New dining table & chairs, new internal doors & skirting (I think) have added to the aesthetics of the interior. This very much feels like our second home.

Had a couple of rounds of putting across from the 1st tee of the Old Course & was fantastic value £3 for two adults & two children for 18 holes.
Went on the Landtrain which goes around St Andrews town centre taking in various attractions.£14 for a family of four.
Visited Mitchell's Deli several times for coffees,lunches & a breakfast.Would thoroughly recommend,staff are very friendly & helpful.
