Our family (2 adults & 2 children) had a fantastic week in Tignes staying in Chalet Les Andes. Both bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. The boys enjoyed the pool (and the pool table) whilst the adults were grateful for the sauna after a days mountain biking.
Kev and Charlie were excellent hosts with nothing being too much bother - from little touches like remembering the youngest member of our party liking warm milk with his cereals to retrieving our family (including bikes) from Val d'Isere when one of us fell ill. Rusty (the dog) is also a delight.
Breakfast and evening meals were all delicious and Charlie's afternoon tea treats were always eagerly anticipated on our return to the Chalet.
Beyond hiking and mountain biking, Tignes has many activities to try most of which are free with the Open Tignes pass.
We would certainly stay at Chalet Les Andes on future trips to Tignes and have no hesitation in recommending it others.
I have just returned from a weeks stay at Chalet Les Andes with Chill Alp. My son and I used it as base for a weeks mountain biking in Tignes.
I chose Chill Alp/Chalet Les Andes as the price was comparable to other accommodation in Tignes but it also included food and had secure bike storage facilities (which from experience can be difficult to find in some hotels).
The Chalet is very clean, comfortable and spacious. It had everything we required and more. It was great to be able to relax in the private pool & sauna after a busy day on the mountains and the indoor bike storage/maintenance area was ideal for storing and working on the bikes. The location is perfect for an active/biking holiday, very central and just a few minutes walk/ride to the chairlifts (which are all free to use :>). There is also plenty of things to do nearby if the weather is not so good.
Kev and Charlie are great hosts and ensure the accommodation feels like a home from home. The food was an excellent standard and plentiful to keep us fueled up for active days in the mountains.
I highly recommend Chil Alp//Chalet Les Andes and hope to return at some point.
Where to start..... As a family we have stayed with Kev and Charlie twice now and loved it more each time! The accommodation is light and airy, the food is amazing and well thought out, the amenities the chalet has to offer are perfect, the kids loved the xbox/chill area immensely and the space you have to relax is exactly what you need on holiday.
We book a week each time we stay and the kids always end up not wanting to go home!
The food is amazing!
3 courses of scrumptious food most nights, gorgeous breakfasts and the magical cakes that charlie makes are just divine! My childrens current favourite this time are her delicious chocolate brownies!
They cater to dietary your needs as well as fussy kids. All to make your stay as perfect as they can make it.
Kev and Charlie are perfect hosts and rusty always kept us entertained chasing the shadows round the dining room!
The location of the chalet couldn't be better, 5 minute walk into the centre of tignes and into all the action! With so many activities on offer in tignes you will be spoilt for choice!
From start to finish our experience at the Les Andes Chalet was just perfect. Whether your looking for an action packed break or a relaxing week away the Les Andes Chalet is the place to go!
If we could give it more than 5 stars we would!
Thanks for an amazing week!
Well... Where to start, I have stayed with "Chill alp" twice now, and both times kev and charlie have been Legends!! There food is amazing, there company is amazing, and the work they do is also amazing. From the first step of the booking process up to the end of the trip everything is relaxed, stress disappears in the hands of kev and charlie.
I stayed in the other chalet (the retreat), but I would come over(out of choice) to this chalet which is only a short distance up the road to eat, chill and have breakfast(A large layout with a cooked breakfast) and of course to use the pool. In the afternoon there are always some magical yummy cakes to indulge in(catered to your dietary needs). O yeh! Dinner is always a 3 course meal, cooked to perfection, even with 21 guests at the table the food came out in great time. The creme brûlée is the best.
you could stay in a different more generic chalet company, but then you won't get this amazing service, all inclusive of rusty the dog, who by the way is hilarious to watch whilst he chases endless shadows around the chalet. And a great distraction for children, because parents and other guests may not want to play lego batman all the time with the kids.
I really do believe staying with these guys is like a home from home, because it just feels that comfortable, the location, the company, and the host's. I would recommend to everyone, not just my friends.
We chose to book a summer break in Chalet Les Andes having enjoyed two previous winter holidays with Chill Alp in Courchevel. Kev and Charlie have been running chalets for years and know how to ensure that their guests get the best possible holiday experience.
We booked as a group of six friends and found Chalet Les Andes to be well configured for groups. There's a large communal lounge with lots of comfy seating, widescreen tv, and pool table. The three bedrooms we had were all a decent size and each had ensuite bathroom and balcony. It's a five-minute walk into the main centre of Tignes and there a dozen or more different activities within easy reach.
During our seven day stay we went on several amazing hikes, some of which were facilitated by the free chairlifts. We rented mountain bikes and had a great time exploring the green and blue trails between Tignes and Val d’Isère. We spent a morning snowboarding on the Grand Motte glacier which felt like a real privilege at this time of year. We also tried the mini golf course, paddle boarding, water slide, ping pong and swimming pool.
Tignes has loads to offer as a summer holiday destination and Chalet Les Andes is the ideal base.
