Unfortunately we booked very late so had the last room available. The room was small and had all that you needed - air conditioning, safe, fridge and a great shower, but we didn't have a balcony which in the height of the season, we really missed. However, the hotel really was wonderful - free parking, newspapers and magazines, loads of extras that could be borrowed/hired from Reception eg beach towels. Included in the price was a really fantastic continental breakfast. The rooms were cleaned daily and the room was spotless. The bathroom was small but the water was always hot and the shower great. Attached to the restaurant is a lounge bar which seems to be the place to go in St Clair plage (which is effectively one road). It is a lovely relaxed, unpretentious place to enjoy a post beach/pre dinner drink. The hotel is effectively on the beach, and what a beach. It is sheltered and sandy and enjoys some excellent beach bars/lunch places. We travelled as a couple but the beach looked perfect for kids and families too. When we checked out we asked about booking for June 2016 and it is no surprise that most rooms were already booked. Apparently many people book their next visit as they leave so you need to be quick. St Clair is very close to the more lively resort of La Lavandoi too if you want a bit more to do. Highly recommended.

We stayed 2 nights. Good points: great off road parking, location, general setting. The rooms are in various blocks in a large lot heading inland from the beach, so very few offer a sea view. The trendy bar at the front isn't part of the hotel, i.e. anyone can go there and frankly that's the best bit.
Weak point: the aircon unit in Room 406 stinks of mildew. Avoid! We had to move rooms, it was awful. The second room was lovely but was only offered to us after a fight and through gritted teeth... Poor attitude, we won't be back.

We visited towards the end of the season and the place was looking quite drab. We booked at short notice and were put in a shoe-box size room. We requested a larger room but they said that there were none available. However, they did reduce their charge to a more reasonable level. We skipped breakfast here, seeing the price being charged for what was provided, and went elsewhere. The hotel is in a great location and they provide free parking. Wifi was almost totally non-existent.

Room Tip: Make sure of your room size as they appear to have rooms of all sizes.

We had a twin bedded room with a music theme. It had a piano which had been changed to be a piece of piece of furniture. The room was adequate and clean. No fridge. Bathroom small but plenty of shelving to put your toiletries on.
Breakfast was 11 euros which we thought was steep so we had it in one of the cafés on the beach., or bought pastries at the supermarket.Coffee, croissant, fresh juice - 7 euros.
The beach here is perfect and only a dozen steps across a very quiet road from the beach, so you don't really need a balcony.
The resort is tiny but has a small supermarket where you can buy made to order sandwiches, croissants, painful raisin etc. it also has a small bakery turn left out of the hotel, walk up a small hill and it's across the busy main coast road. It has approx 5 restaurants, best one Meditereanee. 3 cafe/restaurants on the beach, these closed,at,6ish during June.
The hotel is rather overpriced as far as the rooms are concerned but still a pleasant place. Free covered car park with security gates.
The resort is quiet and idyllic, not form clubbers. The bar at the front of the hotel is popular and a nice place to sit overlooking the beach sipping your negroni. Open till 3am in high season so could be noisy.
We looked at a room at the Hotel Mediterrenee. All rooms have sea views and were nice and spacious. Poss cheaper than Flots Bleus and do half board rates. Restaurant very good. Might stay there next time.

Room Tip: Don't book the two rooms at the front of hotel. They overlook the bar, could be noisy. There are some rooms facing the sea which are not above the bar and set back from the road.

Next time I come I'll probably try a suite as there was no balcony or terrace to enjoy the proximity to the beach (less than 3 metres away).
Very helpful and friendly staff and a very good restaurant annexed to the hotel (although billing was separate). Book if you want to be sure of a table.
