Good friendly and helpful service. Good tasty basic food. Steak and chips was cooked just right. The sorbet with vodka was again, very good. The carafe of red wine was smooth. We had a good meal altogether! ****

This is an excellent place to dine, very close toThe Cathedral. Menu lunch time is 'a la carte' or they offer a two course option with plenty of choice. We opted for the two course which was most acceptable - staff were very good at understanding my French.

Arrived about 21:00. Seated and order taken swiftly, drinks arrived, food didn't. Restaurant filled up and all around us people who arrived later were getting served. After 30 minutes pointed this out to the waiter. Another 25 minutes went bye before we received our steak and salmon. No hint of explanation or apology. Food was good but we seem to have had our order lost between the table and kitchen.

We ate here in August 2017 after a quick look around for somewhere near to the Cathedral to watch the nightly light display. Glad we did,it was a good choice, we had the dish of the day which is a starter and a main course each, I had snails and a really good tender steak with pepper sauce and my wife had chicken in a sauce and a pear tart desert. We had a carafe of red house wine, the whole was probably the best value meal of the whole French trip. We sat outside but don't be put off if there isn't a table it's enormous inside!
