Compares well with other cathedrals and not to be missed if you like grandeur in your architecture. Catch the light show throughout the summer months which is truly amazing, something which enhances the front view.

An amazing place. One of the best cathedrals I've seen anywhere in the world. Huge and light, with some nice glass, but most was blow out in WW1. The effect is airy - makes Notre Dame look like a gloomy hovel.

Do not miss the light/laser show at 10.00 p.m. at the cathedral. Never seen anything as good as this. Cathedral looks good in the day but the show at night is so good! Last approx.45 mins.

The Cathedral is the main building of Amiens with many different floor designs, many different stain glass windows reflect architectural quality rather than saints or other Christian figures. It claims to have the head of John the Baptist which can not be viewed in total but through a small grid which allows a view of a small area of the skull.

In the summer on certain nights at 10.15pm an amazing "light" show happens where the individual figures and features are highlighted in colour. You cannot book and get there early to seat on a bench or the steps opposite.
