The place as we drew up looked absolutely beautiful there us no doubt. It is in lovely surroundings. It is an ideal size for the group of us that went. However it was not the cleanest of kitchens and cobwebs in a lot of the corners and in the ovens of all places. One of the apartments had a dirty towel left from the previous tenants. The work surfaces are tiled and in the grouting was ingrained dirt so we were glad of the abundance of chopping boards on which to put food.
The beds were comfortable and clean. There was everything necessary to cater for a good holiday.
The owners who were resident for the first few days of our holiday were very friendly.
The pool was a bonus although very cold. Probably due to the time of year we went so it wasn't being heated well by the solar panels.
You definitely need a car to get anywhere. No stroll god croissants and a paper in the mornings.
Vire has a good market.
Just a little bit of attention to cleaning before people go in would be an idea. Otherwise a nice place to stay
Set in idyllic countryside. The accomodation is modern and very comfortable but still kept in character. There are extra large grounds offering plenty of options for leisure. The large indoor swimming pool is supurb. Nothing is really near but there are plenty of diverse attractions within comfortable driving distance.
We were a grou of three families looking for a quiet place - but with enough to keep five children occupied for a week.
The property is neat Vire in normandie and is quite a way away from other people. it is three self contained units, a 1 bed, a 2 bed and a 3 bed. All the properties have cooking / kettle / micro and the grounds of the state contain a pool.
The weather was a little mixed when we visited, but was mostly warm enough for the kids to use the pool every day. The pool house is surrounded by lush grass, a small football pitch, a trampoline and a boules court - loads to do.
We had barbeques most evenings sitting out the back or out the front of the property - you aren't distrubed by anybdy and the kids probably didn't disturb anyone else.
Had the weather been bad the pads all had TV / DVD / Play stations - and hundreds of DVDs. Also loads fof outdoor games and indoor ones.
Overall - we had a great week, celebrated two birthdays and a wedding anniversary - what more could you want or need?
