The hotel has its issues. The rooms are good size, the views were amazing and who doesn't want to stay in a castle overnight?! The rooms were outdated though and there were a few stains here and there, but again the idea of staying in a hotel inside a castle
was amazing. I would recommend staying inside the walls vs outside the causeway which was quite far. You have to lock your door at night. Turn the key as it doesn't automatically lock. We had a view of the bay and the abbey. We stayed one night. There is no elevator!!!! Pack light because you will be climbing stairs. The tides are amazing! We arrived around 9pm at night and the tide was in. We stayed overnight and the tide went out around 10 or 11 am. It is amazing to see Mont. St. Michel when the tides are in and out.
