A very average Holiday Inn, located in the middle of town. We used this as a stop over heading further south in France which it was perfect for. Its located nicely if you wanted to go site seeing in Arras.

The room we were allocated was very large, quiet, and clean. It was however a bit tired in places, but was very serviceable. Beds were comfortable, and the sofa bed had been made up as requested.

Staff very helpful, but i was shocked to find a pint of lager was 10 euros! I understand paying for convenience, but thats more than London Holiday Inns charge by a fair margin.

Breakfast was buffet continental - very pleasant. Coffee was good.

Parking is in the big underground car park as you pull into the square, make sure to park there and not in the overground behind the hotel which is very expensive.

Finally, watch out for the speed camera when ehtering Arras - its almost invisible in the dark. I wasnt so lucky!

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for staying with us. I have well noticed your comment about the beer price.
I think there is a misunderstanding. Please check your bill.
Here are our prices (VAT incl.) for the pints:
1664: 6.50€
Grimbergen blond: 7.10€
Red Grimbergen: 7.10€
Ch'ti blond : 7.10€

Thank you for remembering the tip about the underground car park, which is the only one we have an access to.

Best regards,

Charles Henry Ansart

Stayed as part of a large group (did before in 2015 too)

There only ever seems to be one lift working! But that's not a real issue, breakfast is buffet style, and reasonable choices.

Staff helpful. Rooms comfortable.

When a Battlefield Tour was arranged centered on Arras we discovered that we were going to be in the Holiday Inn Express in Arras.
When we moved in we had a reasonably efficient reception, though one of the lifts wasn't working and the one which was was a wee bit slow.
The room was sharing with a colleague was clean and satisfactory.
The breakfast, which was the only catering available was satisfactory. The quantities were adequate and the room busy.
This was very much a place to lay your head, but that was what was on offer and in this way it was good.

Room Tip: The front overlooks the railway station. the street outside is noisy, but no one was complaining about the noise inside

Hotel is very clean and rooms are a good size. Substantial breakfasts are provided to set you up for a day of activities. Lifts are a little temperamental. You need to check your rooms as the hotel overlooks Arras train station so trains can be heard during the night.

Room Tip: Check your room is not overlooking the station

We stayed here for an overnight stay with our two children before continuing our journey the next morning. It was an hour and a half from the Eurotunnel and was really easy to drive to and find. The hotel says no parking but actually there is an underground car park right next to it which is connected to this hotel and several others so you can park and get a lift from the car park straight into the foyer of the hotel. You can pay for the parking at the hotel reception and they validate the ticket so you can get out. No need to use the ticket office in the car park.

The hotel room was a good size for us as we also needed room for our travel cot. The shower room and bathroom were nice and clean, with comfortable beds. The hotel had free Wi-fi. There was a small gym that residents could use, and which I did, which included weights, running machine and cross trainer. The breakfast was a buffet self-service which included continental and cooked breakfast, fresh orange juice and so on. There was also a small bar in the hotel for the use of the residents only which wasn’t overly busy and not at all rowdy or noisy.

We ate out in the evening (no
option to eat in the hotel) which we had always planned to do. We would recommend heading to Grand Place d’Arras which is full of bars and places to eat and happy to accommodate children.
