Just off the Little Yellow Train from Villefranche de Conflent. Got off at Mont Louis and this was the first watering hole we came to. As we had young children with us we stopped for a drink before venturing into the walled town where there are more restaurants. This was a great place to stop for a beer and a coffee. The restaurant looked tempting but we'd only just arrived so wanted to explore further before committing ourselves. They were very welcoming and despite a mix up when the maitre de thought we wanted a table for 5 to have lunch when all we wanted was a drink their manner didn't change, still welcoming and good service, even as far as giving us good directions to the other attractions. I checked out the menu on TripAdvisor and have to say I was tempted. Maybe another time. Certainly can't fault the cleanliness, the welcome and the service. The beer was good too (Estrilla) can't speak for the coffee but I liked the place.

We were staying at the hotel and we decided to eat at the restaurant. But one of us was feeling very sick so we asked for a simple boiled rice for her. In a very impolite way the waiter told us to take a menu or leave.
So she couldn't eat, and I had to eat on my own.
Really disappointing.

We are Catalan and we arrived to the restaurant at 14 hours. First the waitress said that unfortunately the kitchen was closed, but the chief who was looking the scene came where we were so quickly and told us that there was no problem and we had a table. But, without any explanation she gave us 4 “formules”, that we hadn’t any idea about what were them, because we hadn’t ordered anything and owed for each one 17 € + coffees + drinks.
The personal service was very unpleasant, except a waitress who explain us in our language what that means, but too late.
