We arrived finally, after a long journey from the midlands in the uk, to a very friendly face, the owners son was out front with his young son , very well recieved he welcomed us and then fetched Corinne, shes a lovely lady who really tries to speak English, her husband Michele speaks quite good english who we met as we went in to the kitchen area. The accomodation is beautiful , our room was upstairs in the loft area no problems with headroom, and my wife is 6ft tall.the style is very shabby chic in the upstairs area, the bathroom is a very good size with a large bsth and overhead shower.back downstairs in the living area we sat outside around the pool with both Corinne and Michele, my wife had a swim in a solar heated 26 degree pool, we were also offered a cool drink. We decided to go and get freshened up so to go out and get ood.. The food ended up being burgers as we were so tired and not in the mood for restaurants and waiting around. .
The drinks tray in room could do with more cool water, milk on it. A hot chocolate choice would also be a nice extra.
When we returned to the accommodation we were asked if we would like to try a glass of home made local area, which was delicious. After which we retired to our room.
The bed was a beautiful old french style wooden one, but very uncomfortable for anyone like us who need a medium firm mattress...
Following morning we showered and went down to a continential breakfast, which was nice.. however we feel it needed some cheeses and meats. The homemade jams and marmalade were scrumptious, as so were the pastries. Im sure had we said to corinne about cheeses and meats we may of been served them as well, but we liked these people and didn't want them to put them to any extra running stound.
