We visited both churches in Fougères medieval part, and found the history of this church to be overwhelming. Take a little walk along side the outside wall of the church first, and see the sculptures of the seven sins... greed, avarice. Laziness, etc...first. Then go inside.. the stained glass windows are so beautiful.. this is a very worthwhile place to go in... reflect on what you see! Faith was such a deep part of the French culture.

This is an older church than Eglise Saint Leonard (big church on the hill) and was the first church outside the chateau. It is a nice church but not comparable to many of the incredible cathedrals in France. I highly recommend walking around the outside of the chateau and since it is right next to the chateau you can see the church easily enough. It is a peaceful church with newer stained glass windows which are pretty. The architecture is a little less interesting than Eglise Saint Leonard but has an equally peaceful feeling inside.

Not as impressive or large as Ste. Leonard, this nice church near the chateau is still worth a visit, beautiful stained glass, fine sculpture and frescoes...a well appointed eglisè aming many in the area.

A very calm and quiet, restful feeling in this wonderfully appointed church. Excellent stained glass windows complement the wonderful ceiling and wall paintings with an very impressive and gold alter area. Well owrth viewing inside.

We noticed the spire first from far away, as we approached it from the garden. Walked thru the park, and through the old town. It's in a lovely setting. Loved the little sculptures and gargoyles on the outside. Inside, it is very clean, quiet and quaint, with some lovely stained glass windows - obviously still used. It is literally right around the corner from the castle, and it's worth popping in if you have 15-20 minutes to spare.
