Very eclectic decor, fun and funny. We thought we would have to wait a long time, but the outdoor sitting was full, with a line, while the inside was free.
We came in a table of 9 people. They originally seated us by the front door, but we asked to be moved because with the door opening and closing constantly, half of us were freezing. They were super accommodating and some of the guests who were already seated, actually moved so we could enjoy a warmer spot. Honestly, that floored us.
We all started with appetizers followed by an entree and some also had desserts. So here is the breakdown:
Appetizers: I had 6 VERY fresh oysters and was in absolute heaven!! Fish Soup was very good (looked and tasted home made). It was served with the croutons, Rouille and cheese to sprinkle on top. The shrimp cocktail served like it always is in France with homemade mayonnaise
Entree: Seafood Choucroute excellent, but a little lacking the sauce. We asked for more and were promptly given some. Overall well appreciated. I had the Sole special and I have to say, it was FAN-TAS-TIC. So fresh, cooked to perfection with a little bit of potatoes on the side. You have your choice of filleting yourself, or the server will actually filet it for you. Hassle free and delicious! Some of the other dishes we had but I didn't taste were the Skate in black butter, ribeye with french fries and pesto pasta with salmon, al of which everyone enjoyed. The pasta dish was especially copious.
My niece had a creme brûlée which was the perfect consistency and my nephew had some cheese which he couldn't finish because of the rest of the food he had already eaten!
The staff, from he owner, manager and servers were super friendly and really made the visit that much more enjoyable.
